Scones and Bones at Hi SocieTEA in Hollywood

I can’t believe it’s the middle of January already, time flies when you’re hella busy! As a late birthday present to my dear sister, I treated her to a Nightmare Before Christmas themed tea time at Hi SocieTEA cafe. Located in the heart of Hollywood on the side of the W Hotel, the cafe is currently running its Nightmare themed high tea service till Sunday, January 13th. It was the very end of December when I booked our reservation so Christmas decorations were still in full swing at the cafe. Check out the interior below!

Upon arrival we were greeted with a wide variety of teas to choose from, their were over 70+ variations of iced and hot teas to smell and taste test. My sister and I decided to pick one of the limited edition Nightmare Before Christmas tea blends to compliment our meals. My sister chose a white tea appropriately named “Zero” after Jack Skellington’s ghost dog and I opted for a green tea called “Frog’s Breath” which I decided I didn’t like after a few sips. We also got the “Deadly Nightshade Tea” option online which came with a sparkling hibiscus prosecco cocktail. Check out the menu below for the full list and ingredients of Nightmare themed teas.

After taking a few pics with the decor and man of the hour, Jack Skellington himself, our tea sandwiches and desserts had arrived. An impressive spread for two, the food was fun, delicious, and well presented. Enjoy some pictures below with descriptions of what we ate.

My sister and I really enjoyed this quaint little cafe. The staff members we’re very friendly and changed out my tea free of charge after I decided my first pick wasn’t for me. I’d love to go back again someday for the Harry Potter themed high tea.
